The Workplace Authority is the central point of contact for free advice and information on Australia's workplace relations system for employers and employees. The Workplace Authority also accepts lodgements of workplace agreements and assesses whether they pass the no-disadvantage test. The Workplace Authority can also check an agreement to ensure it does not contain prohibited content. The Workplace Authority can explain the content of agreements in ways appropriate to an employee's specific needs including, for example, people from a non-English speaking background and young people. You can contact the Workplace Authority's Workplace Infoline on 1300 363 264 between 8.00am - 7.00pm Monday to Friday. Translation and Interpreting Service is available by calling 13 14 50.
