Kiah Evans is looking for answers from her research on women who juggle work and carer commitments.

The Working Carers Gateway is proud to support this research project which is looking for women who live in Western Australia to speak about their work and care roles.

These "Sandwich Generation" women have a lot to contribute when thinking about the role of carers in the future, so please contact Kiah if you would like to be involved, or know someone who does! But be quick as the participation needs to take place this year (which give you a month... ish).

You may also want to stay in touch with this project to hear results, so please contact Kiah and let her know.

Why participate in this study?

This research will lead to recommendations to help women more effectively balance the three roles of worker, mother and parental carer. In addition to this benefit to the community, women participating in the pilot study found the research process personally beneficial. One woman who completed the pilot study stated:

“I think it came at a time that I was feeling pretty low and not very useful...and then when I did the time diary and realised just how many things were going on at the same time, I was actually managing quite a lot and using time quite effectively. And I think it helped put things into perspective for me as well. So I found it a very useful exercise for me actually”.

Here is a link to a three minute youtube video about Kiah's research project.
